Assignments Australasia Pty Ltd operates from modern office accommodation in East Melbourne on the fringe of Melbourne's central business district. We are fully equipped with our own telecommunications, photocopy, fax, and modem facilities, and our computer system, which is in the Windows environment, has up-to-date accounting, membership database, desktop publishing, event management, and Internet facilities, to provide a smooth and efficient service in these areas. Day-to-day workload is carried out using the latest Microsoft Office Professional suite of software, comprising Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Accounting procedures are carried out using MYOB, desktop publishing is carried out using Adobe Pagemaker and Event Management is carried out using Summit Professional. All documents are stored in our internal document management system, generally as both hard copy and on our computer system. Important documents, including all membership database and financial accounting files, are also stored in soft-copy format, onto tape drives, with daily back-up conducted of all computerised files. Our office accommodation also provides us with meeting room facility seating up to 12 people, board-room style. Our existing clients find this a convenient venue for holding meetings, the use of which is included in our fee. Assignments Australasia Pty Ltd is a proprietary company, limited by shares, and is registered with the Australian Securities Commission (Australian Company Number 066 795 711 refers). We comply with all the requirements of the Corporations Law. Assignments Australasia Pty Ltd has appropriate insurances in place, including professional indemnity, and we engage a taxation consultant to carry out our own taxation requirements. Telephone Due to our telephone system, we are able to designate a separate telephone line to each of our clients, which is answered in each Associations' name, thereby maintaining each organisations' identity to all callers. Personal Profile Because we understand that the job description for an
organisation's Executive Officer entails liaison with the government,
the media, and other industry-related organisations, Assignments Australasia
Pty Ltd normally designates one of its key personnel as the client organisation's
spokesperson, in order to provide a personal profile for the role of
the Executive Officer. From a public perspective, Assignments Australasia Pty
Ltd operates normal business hours (9.00am to 5.00pm) Monday to Friday,
Eastern Standard Time. However, our two Directors are generally available
to service the needs of office bearers outside of such span of hours
during the business week. Additionally, we understand that, to meet
the needs of voluntary membership organisations, meetings are often
conducted outside normal business hours. This is factored into our contractual
arrangement with our clients.
